Is curiosity a cure? Or something else?

She was always curious about her life, about her existence. She wanted to know about everything, but she didn’t knew that knowing about everything is like being at every place on Earth, at the same time. Information was deforming her. She was not satisfied with what she knew, she wanted more! what was her cure? – Jackie Jain

She was feeling lost,
that too in her own body.
Curiosity.

She aims to touch sky,
But cannot fly with her thoughts
No velocity.

Fighting her feelings,
Burying her emotions
Oh! It was pity.

She desires for more,
Only seeks information
Ultimate deity.

She was curious,
Her anger ferocious,
And getting mighty.

Search information
Spreading like disease within
Will she be happy?

Happiness is in
Being less curious.
Live life lovingly.

Curiosity is important to get answers for our questions and doubts. But isn’t curiosity to know about everything, curiosity to be everywhere making us restless and unsatisfied!? There is 71% water on the Earth, but it doesn’t mean that when we feel thirsty we have to drink all that water. There is a limit to everything. Even to curiosity. But I am not saying that we don’t have to be curious. I am just saying that we should have prior knowledge of why we are curious on that? Limited curiosity, being curious for things we actually want to know rather than being curious for things just because they exist. Happiness is being satisfied and living life with love and care. Limit curiosity, get satisfied with your curiosity, that’s the ultimate happiness. Curiosity is the cure for information, but a disease if used too much in quantity.

Even though I have written Haikus before, this is first time I have written seven haikus in a single poem. Thanks for reading. Be curious, but in limits. Have a great week ahead.

I’m always amazed by people who can tell a story using a series of Haiku. Great job with this! You’ve inspired me to try.

I like your haiku poem πŸ™‚
Being curious is good up to a point, as it keeps you interested in life, but yes, being too curious is not good!
