I was searching for her with my open eyes,
in the depths of my thoughts, where an ocean lies.
The liquid thoughts were flowing and so was she.
I was chained within myself and she was free.
The depth was so calm but surface erupting,
My thoughts turned into a mood of corrupting.
I threw some pieces of my broken heart into it,
Feelings started to float on the surface, but still, shit!
I was unable to find her even in a bright light.
I felt sad and closed my eyes. I shut my mouth tight.
I isolated myself from that place, I even stopped breathing.
And then just like a magic spell, she appeared raising.
The flowing water became stagnant, she raised from the tents
at a far away distance & came face to face with me in moments.
Only when there is no door or a window to escape from bond
of our body, she appears. Bcoz she is the purpose of our life & beyond.
This poem is written for the prompt Take me to the oceans
Our purpose of life is hidden in the ocean of our own thoughts. It becomes invisible to our open eyes and noisy atmosphere. Only in the calm meditated state our purpose appears to us as there is no room for that purpose to escape as all the doors leading to the outside worlds are closed. Your purpose in you, waiting for you to be discovered. Just as one of my favorite author Dan Brown says ‘Seek and ye shall find.’
Have a beautiful sunday. Tomorrow is the extra day which we are granted only once in every four years (29th Feb), and see the fate, it’s on Monday.
It is easy to get lost in the noise and confusion created by us (that is our mind and the body) as well created by the world we live in. Maybe only when we can things the way they really does the true picture reveals itself. So yes one who can walk through the chaos smiling, participate yet not get affected can probably see beyond – the life’s true calling

Hi, Jackie! I just saw your post now as my wp-app got hanged from yesterday. Anyway, this post is just awesome. Great thought with a wonderful poem. First I thought it’s simple a love poem and couldn’t get it much. But, when you mentioned, “purpose of life”. Everything was cleared. the picture (though it was chosen) is very nice and appropriate for the post.

Hello Sayanti! It’s okay my friend. Thank you so much for liking this poem. Actually for the first half it seems as if based on love, but slowly the plot reveals as she is our purpose and beyond. Thanks. Yea, the pic is awesome. π Have a beautiful day. π

Beautifully penned, Jackie π
profound words with a hint of romanticism have made this a perfect piece. Maybe we all are perturbed outside at times when the calmness lies deep within…just like the ocean… loved it… β€

Thank you so much Mani. Yes using the word ‘she’ for the ‘purpose’ in the poem made it to be looked at a different angle. Yes very well said, we all are so busy in these crowded places, that we seldom find that inner peace. Thank you. Have a beautiful week ahead Mani. π

Yes Akhila, we often search for our purpose in the busy and crowded streets of thoughts and end up with nothing. Only if we can control the flow of thoughts as in state of meditation, then we are just a step away from our purpose. I am happy that this helped in you some way. Thank you. Have a beautiful week ahead. π

“flowing water became stagnant”
Those words say and show so much. For so much is loss when movement and freshness is ripped out of a thing.

Welcome to the blog Magaly. Yes very true. But sometimes being stagnant helps us in finding out our purpose of life, because purpose appears only in flow less and noise less environment. Have a beautiful Sunday. π
