Yu and Mi (Part-4)

Yu and Mi (Part- 4)

** This is a work of fiction. **

Even though we have met many times so far and have extracted many layers, we are yet to reach that depth where love resides. It’s been 3 years since we are in a relationship, but this ship is still on the land, in the mode of testing. At present, we are trying to detect any faults in the ship, if any, so that when we start our journey on the waves of marriage, our ship doesn’t sink down, which is the case in most of the ships. Strange? I know. It is very complicated to handle all this, to control what we speak, to express and most importantly to love. Even the experts in this field are the owners of many broken ships. A lot happened in these 3 years. One more ship had sinked meanwhile. Her parents got divorced last year. It was the epicenter of this ‘Testing mode’ of our ship. I know it is tough for her to handle this, but it is tougher for me when she says she can handle it all alone. She doesn’t let me console her. She says she can be a man too. Nowadays she has become more of a feminist type. I don’t know whether she even understands what she says. The trends on internet always breaks more than join. I saw time, it was 8:30 pm. I felt tired after a busy day. If you keep doing all day what you don’t like, you are prone to get more frustrated. I tried to sleep for half an hour, but I cannot. I felt as if something is going on in my heart.

A quick meeting was planned by the three important departments of the company. The place chosen was at some height from the ground. There were four rooms but they decided to meet in the first one. There were three people, one each from the 3 important departments. There were two choices. They had to decide on one. The issue was that the company is in trouble and the owner of it cannot sleep at night. There are no revenues and there are assets neither.

The manager of the top department, which deals with technical stuff and investment, said that the company is not running well as we are investing too much in wrong stocks. Even though we got good returns for the first two years, now what we spent is getting more than what we received. Their department believes that it’s time to change the stock in which they are investing and find some better stock.

The manager of the Middle department, which deals with public relations and emotional issues, said that even though the stocks are very good, they are going from a difficult period at present. They are under pressure. Their owner is having personal issues which takes time to get fixed. We got good returns for the first two years of the investment, only from one year we are facing this. If we believe in them for some more time, we will get much more than we have expected. Have faith.

The manager of the bottom department, which deals with growth and pleasure, complained that both the other departments are getting their share of what’s left but his department is yet to receive its payment from the beginning. It’s not fair. But he said his department believes that only this stock can provide the best growth rate to the company. I request you to give my payment soon. Our staff is suffering.

As two of the three managers decided to keep investing in the stock, they decided to go on with the company’s rules. New policies and programing was set and company consciousness was rewired. Suddenly the place began to shake. It felt as if there’s an earthquake. They rushed under a cage and held their hands with a smile on their faces. They remember they felt 2 aftershocks.

After 3 sneezes, I felt somewhat relieved. Something inside was hurting me before this, as if some people were sitting inside my heart and discussing something. After 3 sneezes I felt as if my consciousness has been rewired. New ideas kept coming inside as if more energy has been invested in my body. I realized that she is going through a tough phase, how can I, in such phase quarrel with her. Patience level increased in me. But it is not only me. She is also showing lots of patience. She is bearing the angry side of me. I do business of export and import, which she says is not for me. She says I am meant to write. I write and try to inspire people, but it cannot earn me bread. She always wants me to do something about my passion, I always brush aside the issue. Even I want to do something about my passion, I tried many publishing houses but I got rejected. I didn’t tell her about all this, she is already facing enough. Her mom has shifted to Delhi after the divorce. Anyway, even before divorce she used to stay in Delhi most of the time. This distance was the cause may be which gave this effect. Her dad who is a textile businessman now just sits at home and keeps crying for the lost deal at night. He never invested enough time in the marriage and have invested enough tears in divorce. He is MAD. Yes, MAD, Married and Divorced. RashMi looks after different charitable works. She loves to help poor people and does painting to get funds, charitable funds. She always wanted to be the son which her father wanted, and believe me, she is. But this has also has made her a feminist. She always brings this issue in the middle, like a nose comes in between two two-lipped scissors. I want to be my father’s son she always says. My mindset never lets me feel as I am poor, as I have rich thoughts and a 6-digit bank balance. She always talks about future, will I stay happy doing all this work, she really believes I am meant for writing. But what future? There is no guarantee of the next second and she talks about unpredictable future. It is like you are standing on one shore and you can see your destination on the other shore. But because our present (boat) is not good, lets wait till future (ship) becomes good. You have boat, then travel. My dad is a bank manager. My mom a home manager. Only their son cannot manage anything emotional! I am stuck in between. To continue with export and import or concentrate on full-time writing. Time was over 9. 9 has always been my lucky number, I was born in 9th month and on 9th day. She said she would message me at 9 in the night when I called her in the morning. She should have come home few minutes ago. Even my mobile knows that. It spoke to me in some unknown language after few seconds.message tone.
Whatsapp, RashMI, 2 messages.

‘Hi’
‘How are Yu?’

I typed *I am fine* and deleted it. And typed something else.

Mi is fine. Yu is not fine.’

‘How can Mi be fine if Yu is not fine!’

‘You are not fine?’

‘No, I am fine.’

‘Really?’

‘Yes. I am.’

‘That’s good. 🙂 ‘

‘Today I went to hospital.’ I felt a chill. What happened suddenly! I didn’t want to spoil a good chat.

‘Pregnant?’

‘Bye.’

‘Sorry. Okay. Tell. What happened?’

‘One of the staff member of charitable trust met with an accident. Someone called me from the spot, as my number was on the last called.’

‘I am so sorry. How is he now? Everything fine?’

‘She died. When I reached to the hospital, everything was over. Doctor said it was very late.’

‘Oh! I am very sorry. May her soul rest in peace.’

‘Thanks! :)’

‘Thanks? For what? For being an accident in your life?’

‘No. For being an angel in my life. You saved my dad that day. I will never forget that AbhimanYu’

‘I was just at the right place at the right time. But you are being a feminist here also. Angel? Me? You say you want to live life like a man. It’s ok. But you are comparing me to an angel! What justice is this!’ I felt guilty the moment I clicked on the send button. My ego typed this, not me. I realized that one sarcastic smiley could have completely changed the meaning of it.

‘Please Yu, not again. I am not up for this today. Angels are heavenly. There are no men and women classifications. I just hope you said this as in a jovial way.’ This relieved me. Not everything has gone out of control. I breathed and then threw my ego in my mental dustbin. Then I started typing.

‘Sorry. I don’t know why, but even I am becoming a menist day by day. My ego is getting better of me. I threw it outside today. See, RashMi, you know I never hurt you intentionally and will never. It is all our uncontrolled emotions that becomes our villian. I am very proud of you. You are a very responsible son and a responsible daughter. And you are even playing a role of a mother, by looking after your father. Hats off.’ Something inside me felt free the moment I sent this message. How great it feels to keep the ego aside and talk with our loved ones. I bet some discussions have taken place in my heart today which has rewired my perspective and consciousness.

‘Thank you AbhimanYu. I needed this assurance. I know you will never hurt me. Yes, my father have become like a child. As a mother, it is difficult for me to handle all this. That’s why I am not committing to you. I cannot handle it. Anyway, it is father’s duty to fulfill the child’s wishes. As I am the mother, can you be the father?’ I realized how difficult it is to be in the body of women. I felt very proud of her and all women at once.

‘Try me’

‘The child needs the real mother. :(‘ She sent this and went offline. I know she will be crying. But crying is important in such situations. If there is no rain, there won’t be rainbow. I have to become that rainbow. Her father needs the real mother, who else it can be, his wife. Now I have a boat infront of me, I won’t wait for the ship. I took out the contact of the real mother. Devyani Mehra. I pressed ‘call’. This is just the second time I am calling her. First time I called her was when his husband was physically hurt, and now when he is mentally hurt.

M is for Make your own story- Day-13

So it all started in the first week of August, 2015! Neerja initiated ‘Make your own story’ challenge when she penned down a beautiful story written in 100 words and gave the pen to another writer. Then writer by writer this pen was forwarded and wheels were added to the story. I am glad to add another wheel (my second) to end this sci-fi. So welcome to the unique challenge which shows the power of single story, multiple authors.

Neerja- Wheel No.1 gave a kick start to this wonderful challenge. This is a ‘Make your own story challenge’. Follow the link Make your own story to know all about the start. With utmost curiosity, I was looking forward to see the challenge swinging to Tejas- Wheel No.2 and from there to my dearest Sri- Wheel no.3 and then to Nimitha- Wheel No-4 and then to my close friend and bro Darshith- Wheel No-5 , I added the sixth wheel and now I am adding the seventh wheel too.

Neerja is a wonderful writer who always keeps experimenting. I am thankful to her for initiating such challenge. She is very talented. She gave the baton to Tejas, a person who makes wonders in his blog. His Jack & Jill strips are really funny. He is the most active blogger I have seen here frequently updating his blog. He tied a wonderful knot to the story and gave the rest to Sreechandra. Sri.. She appears like once in a blue moon. But each & every time she brings up something magical. She swipes off my feet always. She is a superstar who carries life in every word she writes. I am a big fan of her stories which involve lot of feelings in them. You are awesome Sri. Sri then passed it to Nimi, the girl who has not only loads of talent but potential to make it big. Recently I connected with her in wordpress, and she is amazing and she is Rahmanaic too. Darishth, my bro is amazing. He always comes with unique ideas and beautiful poems. We have become very close friends now. Thanks bro for nominating me in this amazing challenge. Then I added sixth wheel to it. I nominated Hema Ji for this challenge who seemed to be very busy! So I decided to give it an end to the beautiful story by adding the climax part.

Story so Far…

Wheel No.1: (initiated by Neerja)

Once upon a time there existed a wasteland in Patliputra. There lived a little boy named Aditya who was only child of Madhavi and Shankara. They used to love him a lot and wanted him to dream big and get out of this wasted land. But Aditya unlike his parents had some another dream. He wanted to improve and convert his wasteland into a dreamland where everybody wants to live. Aditya knew he had to convince his parents for this but he didn’t how will they react and whether they will approve this idea of his dreamland.

Wheel No.2: (added by Tejas)

The clock struck two past midnight as a stream of snowy moonlight sneaked through the swinging-with-the-breeze curtains and scattered on Aditya’s bed. As the squeaking sparrow went back inside the ancestral wall clock after two tweets, Aditya sneaked out of his bed quietly.

He stuffed pillows under his blanket in a shape to disguise as himself. He tiptoed out to the backyard. He double checked on both sides for no one following him before going behind the banyan tree.

As planned, Shivansh was already waiting for him there. A nod from both of them assured, everything was on track. Aditya plucked out a wrinkled paper from his pocket and Shivansh’s eyes twinkled with a beaming smile.

Wheel No.3: ( added by Sri)

With quivering fingers Aditya unfolded the paper. The near-yellow paper definitely looked old.

“Here”, Aditya smiled, “is the key to our dreams….If only we can get hold of this, we shall have enough resources to convert this wasteland into the land of our dreams”.

Shivansh’s eyes shone in genuine glee. He intently looked at the unfolded paper in front of his eyes. Within seconds his eye-brows stitched into each other transforming into puzzled curiosity.

“But this looks empty Adi. This is a blank paper.”

Aditya smiled. A hint of mischief waved past his face.

“Just wait and watch the magic”, Adi whispered.

He then held up the paper and placed it against the circular moon. The moonlight diffused through the ridges and furrows of the wrinkled paper lending a surreal look. Within seconds a faint map appeared on it.

Shivansh couldn’t believe his eyes. He had many questions but Aditya’s eyes were fixed on the map.

With intense seriousness he pointed to a lotus emblem right at the middle of the map.

“And here is our destination – Padmabharan – the lotus urn”.

Wheel No.4: (added by Nimi)

“What is this? Who gave you this?” Shivansh’s face revealed all his zest.

Aditya is still carrying a calm face beaming at the map. Shivansh turned blue.

“Adi, this won’t make any trouble. Right?” His voice trembled slightly.

“Calm down Shiva. Don’t be over reactive as always.” Without taking eyes off the map, still held against the moon, Aditya stepped closer to Shivansh and whispered. “We are going to make history in Pataliputra.” His voice expressed extreme determination.

Shivansh stood with his mouth half-open wondering how this piece of old paper and two fourteen-years old boys going to make history.

Aditya continued. ” This is the ultimate treasure. Once we reach here, this will give us everything we need.” He pointed Padmabharan.

“But how can we find this? This is just a map, barely a map that we have never seen before.” Shivansh started losing his patience.

“I read about this in a book owned by my Dada. I got this map from the slit on the hard bind of the book. This Padmabharan is somewhere here.” Aditya continued examining the map.

Shivansh made a step aback and checked his premise. Somewhere here? With fear and anxiety, he asked. “Adi, don’t make me more confused. Will you please explain?’

Aditya nodded “Yes!”

Wheel No.5: (added by Darshith)

“Some days before dying, my Dada handed me a book and asked me to read it carefully and said that each written word in it is TRUE. He also asked me to pursue it with someone whom I can trust blindly,” whispered Adi, and continued, “I couldn’t make heads or tails about the story till I accidentally found this wrinkled paper from the slit of the book.”
Shivansh was listening attentively as if he was hypnotized and can do nothing to break the spell.

Adi continued his charm of revealing things slowly. He said, “In the book, there is mentioning of a mystery map which reveals itself when placed against the circular moon and the first time, I also had the same expression and goosebumps, just like you.”
“On reading further, it says how the people pursuing Padmabharan has to prove their worth that they are deserving of it and hence to get their hands on it, they will face many struggles and sacrifices.”
On listening this, Shivansh was scared like hell and said, “Is it like the survival of the fittest?”
Adi, who had no clue of what is there in the future, said reassuringly, “I don’t know and let’s hope there is no copies of this book or the map and no other living being has any idea of the existence of Padmabharan.”

Wheel No.6:  (added by me)

“So what else was written in that book?” asked Shivansh finally clearing his throat.

“It says that my dada was a great scientist in those times. He was adept in calculating energies. In his times he successfully found why our Patliputra is a waste land. He believed that every point on Earth falls under one of these categories -Positive, Negative and Neutral energy. Positive indicates development, Neutral- being unaffected with energies and Negative- destruction. Our Patliputra falls on Negative point. No wonder why our land is a waste land!” said Aditya feeling proud of his dada.

“Interesting! Then what’s the solution to this?” asked Shivansh looking at the waste land and wondering how Aditya’s dada came up with such an interesting theory in those times.

“My dada made a device by which we can vary the energies. So we have to take the energy level of Patliputra beyond the threshold of Positive energy level. That’s it.  That device is called ‘Padmabharan’. Our Patliputra can again be developed into our dream land. We will do that.” Said Aditya shining like a Sun, going with his name, ‘Aditya’, ‘The Sun’.

“Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, don’t you know science? and why didn’t your dada change the energies then!?” asked Shivansh using his logical mind.

“But Energy can be converted from one form to another. And we can only change the energies once in 2012 years, when the energies undergo through ‘Natural transition’ on a specific full moon day.  My dada knew he won’t survive that long so he handed me that book. That specific full moon day is today. That place is here. And we have just one hour left. By 4 am the ‘Natural transition’ of energies will stop and we can’t change the fate of our land until the next 2012 years.”

Aditya again lifted the map towards the full moon and was once again puzzled by seeing that map! The map was not as in regular maps. It just had a lotus emblem on it.

Aditya surveyed his surroundings with his mobile flash light for 20 minutes, but all his attempts went futile. Then he thought Lotus may be not the real lotus, just a mere symbol. Then just in a moment the veil of the mystery lifted as Aditya saw a Lotus symbol carved on the back of the bench resting under a banyan tree. Shivansh too noticed it. They both ran towards that bench!

And the story continues. . .
Adi and Shiva reached the bench with lotus mark in a hurry but were unsure about what to do next. They saw a wide rectangular shaped plate upon which the symbol of lotus was carved. Aditya tried to find clues near the place by digging under the bench. But it was useless. He got frustrated. He knew he doesn’t have much time left and they still don’t have any clue about the Padmabharan. In anger he hit his fist on the symbol of lotus which is on the back of the bench. Within a moment, the rectangular plate opened up. Aditya and Shivansh glanced at each other. There was a small rectangularly packed box in that plate. Aditya opened the top of the box and was shocked to see what it contained.

A small phone like device with 3 buttons and 5 LEDs was resting on it and the first LED was glowing. On the device it was written in Golden letters, ‘PADMABHARAN’. Aditya looked at his watch it was 3:40 am. Just 20 minutes to go. Shivansh looked for anything else in the box, but nothing. Now they hold a foreign device with no user manual for help. Aditya took the device in his hand. It felt as if there were energies inside it. The 3 buttons and 5 LEDs were arranged in two rows. In first row there were the 3 buttons and in the second row, 5 LEDs were arranged, three LEDs were exactly below the three buttons of the first row, and two LEDs were placed on either side of these 3 LEDs. Think Adi think, Aditya said to himself. One button was green in color, one was yellow in color and last was red in color. 4 LEDs were in off state and the first LED was glowing.

Without a second thought he pressed the green button and then the unexpected happened. The 2nd LED started to glow. The universe started responding to this and so did the energies. Aditya hands were trembling but he didn’t leave the device. The winds started blowing with great speed, the leaves of the trees were flying in the air and some bright light was emitted from the device. After sometime, the third LED started glowing in yellow color. He thought it may be a signal to press the yellow button. Aditya pressed the yellow button. And suddenly he felt as if the energies were taking the transition through the device. The energies were converting. The lower energy level of patliputra was getting the positive energy from universe and the device was getting difficult for Aditya to hold. He never saw such thing before. Shivansh was seeing as if he is dreaming and his mother may wake him up at any moment.

After some time, the 4th LED started to glow in Red color and this time, Aditya knew it was time to press Red button. The moment he pressed it, a super giant hole emerged from the sky as if the negative energies were being absorbed by that hole. Aditya’s hands became black but he knew this suffering is nothing when compared to Patliputra’s development. He stood with confidence and held the device tight with all his strength. Within few seconds the last LED also glowed. Then the giant hole disappeared. The enormous winds stopped blowing.

The device jerked with high vibrations and it fell on the ground. Aditya looked at his watch, it was 3:59 am. Shivansh was yet to come out of shock. Aditya told to shiva that it was over. Shivansh rushed to the device and saw the first LED go off. 4 am. They both are still unaware of what has happened or how this device worked. They stood there for few seconds. To their surprise the device got blasted by itself as its purpose is served. They rushed back to their respective homes and entered into their homes from their room’s windows. Aditya’s mother was knocking the door of his room. Aditya first washed his hands and his mouth. Then he ran to open it. Aditya’s mother hugged him when he opened the door.

“Are you safe?” she asked.
“We are safe.” replied Aditya.
“Do you know just few minutes ago winds were blowing very dangerously. I was afraid.” said her mother looking feared.
“I don’t know mom, I was sleeping. Don’t be afraid.” said Aditya and took a sigh of relief.
“I think the winds are indication of something bad.” said his mother feeling disappointed.
“Mom. Be positive. Good days are here.” said Aditya and smiled at his mother.

At morning 7 when Aditya and his family were having tea, Shivansh also joined them. Aditya and shivansh shared a hi5. They were feeling happy and curious about the result of this early morning’s hard work. They had the first sip when a farmer came running into the home looking excited and happy. “God has blessed us with happiness. Our Patliputra is no more a waste land. For the first time, we have seen some progress in our crops. It is unbelievable. Early morning’s winds were God’s blessings upon us.” He said and ran to our neighbouring house repeating the same.

Aditya felt relieved after hearing this. He turned towards his mom and said, “I told you na mom, good days have arrived.”

*****

Now its time to suggest title for this story. My attempt is, ‘Patliputra and its saviour-Padmabharan’. You too can give your suggestions. Sorry for this long read.

This story was incomplete from a long time. So just wanted to see Aditya saving his place sooner.

This is my entry for A to Z challenge . It is already day 13 and it is on the letter ‘M’. ‘M’ is for Make your own story.

image

Coming to the challenge, as the name itself says it is very challenging. On every day of month April, except Sundays, which makes it to 26 days, each participant should publish a post relating to the letter corresponding to the number of the day thus completing all the 26 alphabets. For example on day 1, the post should be on something related on letter A, on the second day it should be related to B and this goes on. Exciting? Isn’t it?

And as always, thanks for reading. Have a great weekend. . 🙂

Then just in a moment the veil of the mystery lifted as Aditya saw a Lotus symbol carved on the bench resting under a banyan tree. Shivansh too noticed it. They both ran towards that bench!

**This is a work of fiction**

And that’s it. This ends my part of the story. 100 words is too less, and because there is a rising trend  in word count by previous writers, I just spiked it up. My curiosity made me do that. I really need a novel out of this. Now I have so many people to suggest, but I go with Hema ji  . I stumbled upon her blog just today and what I saw was a beautiful Sci-Fi from her based upon third millennium. So I think she will carry it perfectly.
Common Hema ji, Save Patliputra from being a waste land for another 2012 years.
Good luck!!

Thanks for reading! Let’s March first.

Company is Love, Mission is Happiness, Vision is Care

Falling is always painful. But if there is anything in this world which can make humans fall in it happily, it should be only one thing. It’s Love. – Jackie Jain

*****
I am waiting for her. She didn’t came in time (she never comes on time anyway though).  But waiting for her is always a good feeling, not because she is away from me right now, but because she is somewhere on her way just to meet me. I am very excited. 2 years ago, we used to go out daily and have spent some quality time together then. But there are always some obstacles which grows with time. Work, has always been the dividing factor between us. Our love for each other is never the question. Our love was, and it is always at peaks, but we we are going through a phase where we are not able to show our love for each other. I just wished that no obstacle spoils my plan today. She called me yesterday morning that she will be on leave the next day, which is today, and she requested me for a movie in the afternoon. I agreed. I called her yesterday afternoon during working hours and told that I will be busy the next day, which is today as my boss wants me to step up and give out a speech report on the growth stats of the company for the last 2 years, so we had to cancel our movie plan. She wasn’t impressed. She was expecting some time together. I told my boss yesterday then that I will be on a leave the next day, which is today. He wasn’t impressed too. But I wanted to impress the boss of my life, which is my wife, much more than anything else.

Today morning I called her that I forgot my file at home and and all the important data was in that file. Even though she would hate me for working too much, she always appreciates my hard work. She will never let me down. I knew. I told her to bring that file to a place which was near to my office, for an effect. She agreed, half hearted. Now I am waiting for her. My voice box is ready with the speech. I should impress my boss. Because impressing the boss is the key factor for development of relationship. I just wished that she comes early with the file. Words are excited to come out. Then she came, like a beauty I have never seen before. Every time I see her, I feel she is getting more beautiful with age. She was not smiling as she used to always do. The file was right there, in her right hand. She gave the file to me, wished me all the best and turned back to move. I felt that she is in a computer mode today, with no feelings, just do your work and go on. It was time to make her feel happy. It was time to make her feel human. It was time to make her feel loved. It was time to make her laugh.

She was almost 5 steps away from me when she turned back listening to my voice. She turned back and saw me reading out the file content.
“Good morning ladies and gentlemen.. Today I am standing here to give the report of our company called LOVE, which started 5 years ago, owned by ABHIMANYU and RASHMI along with 7 employees ( The seven promises), with happiness as the mission and with care as the vision. Our company took off perfectly from the land and landed in hearts of each other. We had good profits of happiness, good returns on care and we used efficiently the time allotted to us. But from the last two years, our company is facing a crisis. We are not getting funds of time from anywhere as they are being corrupted by the work and by being busy in the work which we are divided. It is difficult to run the company like this. Lot of time is lost in the last two years. Now to recover this huge loss, we have to start spending more time together and sort it out. We are a company with huge expectations from our families and friends. We have to rebuild the company again with happiness and love. To increase the share price which is our bond, we have to work together and spend some time together. I have rejected my wife’s invitation for movie to attend your meeting boss. My wife wanted to spend three hours on seeing other characters, rather than seeing in each other. I can’t bear such loss to the company. So being the boss of the company of our Love, you have to make a change in our meeting times. I will be spending more time with you so that this company grows higher and higher. A company which dreams to touch the sky with happiness and plant down deeper with roots of love. Thank you so much boss. This is my report. Now you have to decide how was my speech and also I love you boss, I have never told this to my wife from 2 years, but today I want to tell you, as you are the boss of our company, and ‘I love you’ being the slogan of our company. I love you.” I bowed and stretched my lips to the full. There were tears in my eyes.

I saw her. She was constantly smiling throughout the speech, but when I finished there were tears in her eyes too. Happy tears, I know. She hugged me and kissed on my forehead. It felt like all the pain in my head got vanished. She is a magician. A beautiful magician.

“I was expecting special, but not this much special. You are smart.. Intelligent.. Loving.. Wow Abhimanyu, you are the greatest hubby.” she said, still tears in her eyes.

I felt happy. Very happy. I am smart. I am loving. But still, how she expected that something special was on the way. “How you were expecting something special?” I asked puzzled. First I thought she may have seen the file, but then I thought I didn’t write anything in file. I just spoke out my heart just holding that file. I was wondering about what was the loop hole.

“You always go to office wearing formals. Today you didn’t and that too for an important speech! Isn’t that enough?” She said with a wink. I fell again in her love. Happy falling.

Damn! I am castled!! She is smarter!!

She saw me, I was looking sad for being not able to keep this as surprise, she took my hands in her hands and repeated our company’s slogan, “I still love you though”..
We both laughed our heart out.

Then we had Lunch.  A party for our company’s recent success in the last few minutes.. 😉

A stranger in the mirror- By Jackie & Darshith

A story of two friends who used to meet daily, and still were strangers to each other. One day they finally thought to meet at a special place and then they became one.

There were two friends named Sapna and Kalpana. They were sitting opposite to each other with their eyes locked in each other. Even though they have met many a times before, but today for some reason they felt as strangers to each other. They felt as if they were from different worlds. As the friends are from two different worlds, we bring out this story from two different worlds of Words dipped in Happiness and Smiles here & Smiles there . As Darshith is a professional as Sapna, he will portray the story of Sapna. As my thoughts are still in search for a form, I will portray the story of Kalpana. How these two friends, become strangers and then become one? The two worlds merging into one. Our first and unique Collaboration. What’s so unique about this story? Keep reading.

Kalpana’s perspective:

Kalpana always felt as if she is just an imaginary character. She used to think that she has no life in real. There was always an dividing line between her thoughts and her ability to convert those thoughts into real life, and that dividing line was a form. She always lacked form to do anything. There was no shape for her life dimensionally. She has no existence. She lived among billions of neurons, but still her thoughts were ignored. Her passion was overflowing within, but there was no body to fill it. Just like there is lot of oxygen in this world, still you need to breath it in for respiration, similarly, even though she had a lot of passion about her life, but there was no body, no container to fill that passion. Her life was like an unsolved puzzle. She was just an illusion to her own thoughts. She was struck in between her life (imaginary) and her passion about life. She was in search of a body where her soul can fulfill her passion. She felt as if she was just a soul. She thought that her parents have given her a perfect name ‘Kalpana’ which means ‘Imaginary’ in Hindi. She was just an imagination to her own self. She was the soul, and she was in search of a body, a body to fulfill her passion. Kalpana has the wings to fly, but not a body to feel the flight. She has everything that has the power to be successful and reach the destiny, but she needs the body, the legs to walk towards destiny. She always has great admiration for her friend Sapna. Kalpana feels that Sapna has a body through which her soul can fulfill her passion. But still Kalpana is confused that why Sapna is not following her passion! What’s stopping Sapna! Kalpana just wishes that Sapna’s body becomes Kalpana’s and Kalpana’s passion become Sapna’s. But Sapna has a different set of problems. Let’s check out her life.

Sapna’s perspective:

I am a computer who walks, talks, speaks, shits & exists. I am not living. Living is attached to something that has life in it & passion to survive. Oh, I so love the word passion, even though I haven’t pursued mine. Don’t ask me WHY? Even I ask myself the same and neglect the question. As dear is the word passion to me so are the excuses. Excuses like I am busy with work, I have a life, I am in search of happiness but won’t do much to actually achieve it. My name is Sapna meaning ‘dreams’ in Hindi. I hope that my parents named me Sapna because I was a dream to them & not because they wanted me to follow my dreams. Following dreams requires wings for our passion to fly high with the wind. My passion had died and been buried deep inside my heart since the day I joined IT job. It has been nothing but a robotic schedule to be followed for 5 days a week. It’s a simple equation i.e., Intake of free biscuits + coffee should yield a code. One has to fit in that equation without being an exception. Lack of sleep, excess tensions, deadlines, issues, client calls has made life monotonous, snatched away my passion & made me emotionless and lifeless. I am searching for that silver lining, that ray of hope which will make me passionate again, which will make me alive again, bring back the lost charm. I want to stay true to my name & for that I will be meeting my friend Kalpana, who has her own set of problems. We are finally meeting today at a place she chose & today I want to open up to her & speak my doubts and fears.

Conclusion:

After being fed up with their corresponding lives, finally Sapna and Kalpana made up their mind to meet at a place with a clear mind. And that place was the mirror. Sapna, the girl with a passionless body and Kalpana, the mirror image (Soul-fie) of Sapna with imaginary thoughts of passion without a body, were sitting opposite to each other in front of a mirror. With a clear mind without previous attachments, they felt as strangers to each other. Yes, for the first time they realized the importance of each other. They came to know that they are not made to live two different lives, but just one life. The life which makes them complete. The life which gives a body to the passion. The passion which gives wheels to the life. From that day they became one. Sapna and Kalpana turned into reality. It is whether body found the soul or soul found the body, but at last passion found its Destiny.

A key journey in a train with a stranger

It was a hot sunny October afternoon of 2015, when I stepped into the railway station of LokManya Tilak Terminus (LTT). I checked out the electronic display fixed near the enquiry office and came to know that my train will be arriving on platform number 3 at 12:43 pm. I checked out my watch. It was 12:30 pm. I rushed to the stair case. When I stepped down the stair case on the other side, I reflexed back in a shock. Seeing the platform completely filled with passengers suddenly made me feel more concerned about our growing population. I just imagined the book Inferno by Dan Brown which was in my bag, which I had picked to read in that journey from LTT to my home, Kakinada. Note that I have already read that book twice till that date.  For a moment I wished that Bertrand Zobrist should exist in real.

* Train tickets mentioned here are just because this is a train journey and life engine because engine is related to train *

I stepped into the train when it arrived. S5 coach, Berth No. 32 it was. I always prefer Upper berth when I travel alone, because of the freedom it offers. Just go and sleep whenever you need, no issues. I surveyed the people around, a couple in their late 60’s sitting near the window seat, a man sitting with a smart phone in his hand and another man sleeping on the other upper berth of the compartment. Not a single person which I wished to see. No colors in the compartment.

The train blew horns and the tires started to roll slowly making the passengers feel the effect of a mild earthquake. After 10 minutes of doing nothing, a young man in his late 20’s came along with his wife and a 3 to 4 year old son. Finally something to feel happy about. Hey, I am talking about the small cute baby son. He came to me and asked where I was going. I said Kakinada town, the final stop. He then requested me that they are two members and they got tickets to Secunderabad in two different coaches S 5 and S 9. First we went to S9 and there no one could shift to S 5 as some were with their families and somewere old enough not to shift. Then he requested me to shift to S 9 as I was travelling alone. His berth number was 31 and mine was 32. Seeing his wife and their 3 year old son, I was not able to say No. I said I will shift at the next stop. They thanked me and arranged their luggage in the space provided under the lower berths. The train stopped after 15 min at the next stop and the guy said S 9 coach, Berth No. 41. I controlled my anger hearing the berth number, and finally got down. Shit! Lower Berth.

When I stepped in S 9, which I consider lucky number for me, I moved to the berth No. 41. Just 3 people were seated in the compartment of 8. And that young man said that no one could shift, he should have said that half of the compartment was empty. Let it be. A couple in their 40’s were sitting and chatting, I mean both on their own smart phones. One man in his early 50’s was sitting at the window opposite to me. At least I got a window seat here. That man in his early 50’s started the conversation.

“So that couple which came here few minutes back exchanged this seat to you?” he asked.

I said “Yes”.

He nodded his head and said “Good.” and then he asked “Where are you going?”

I said “Kakinada” and asked “You?”

He said “Secunderabad”.

And the conversation took off from introduction to all trending topics then, around the world. Till evening we talked a lot about the worldly affairs, politics, economics, population and marriages in India. Then for a break, we just sat watching nature outside for some time, it felt good.

Then we took tea and while drinking it, he said that after a long time he talked in this way to a stranger. I said me too. Then we started to talk about our lives. He asked what you do? I said I completed my B.Tech last year. He nodded and asked now what you do?  I said “I help my father in his business . . And I also blog” Then I explained him about blogging and what revolutions it can create if we use it in a good way. Then he told me about his daughter and her determination to follow her passion. He told that his daughter started to learn Japanese at a very young age, as she was fascinated by that language. Even though many people in their family opposed it, she didn’t let down her passion. She then got an offer as a translator in a company as the clients of company were Japanese. Then she flew to Japan, and settled down there.

I was very much inspired by the story. And he started to tell about his parents and told that he is very lucky to have such parents. He appreciated a lot about CIPLA’s initiative of treating Cancer Patients for free. There was a center of CIPLA where they treated Cancer patients.  There he admitted one of his relative who was suffering from Cancer and CIPLA took extreme care. There were lot of patients and CIPLA treated each and every person with utmost Care.  He told that he saw many people dying there, and told how precious life was.

He told to follow the passion as we will never get another life to follow our passion. I made up my mind that I will not give up blogging, which earlier I thought of giving up. I even stopped blogging for six consecutive months before from (Jan 2015 to June 2015). Then he told about his reason for his trip to Hyderabad (Twin city of Secunderabad),  as one of his relative was not feeling well, and that relative’s son called him to visit them once.

Time had passed over 9 pm then, so we started having dinner. We shared our food. My dad’s sister (Lives in New Vashi from where I travelled to LTT for boarding that train) packed me pooris and curry along with some khakras. He brought chapatis and we shared them. Then we had a little chat on spiritual and divine topics. He told that he visited a village ( a village near to my place) twice and he felt solace and calmness by visiting temples in that place. He told that his wife played an important role in taking him to spiritual path. I never visited that place even though I heard it before. I made up my mind that I will visit that place once.

It was over 11pm, and he said he sleeps by 11. Hyderabad which we will reach by 4 in the morning, I told him to wake me up by 3:30 am. But when I woke up, it was 7 am and he was gone. I told him thanks in my mind. I brushed my teeth and then had tea and Idli at the next station. Dan Brown would be angry with me that I didn’t even take out the book during the entire day of the journey. Just like Dan Brown unlocks the mysteries in a thrilling way, Life unlocked the key to my passion, in a most unexpected way. Who would have thought that my shift from S 5 to S 9 will shift my thinking on life. I felt inspired that day and in the afternoon I stepped down from Train on the Platform of Kakinada Town with a new ray of happiness and hope.

I knew that even though new year was four months ahead, my new year has started then. My new way of thinking towards life. To bring out the creativity in me, no matter what. I left behind the nervousness and depressions I have gone through then. I knew that a new sunshine is waiting to spread the golden rays on my future. I looked forward for my life with passion and determination to succeed.

Thank you uncle. This was my key Journey in a train with a stranger, now who is not a stranger anymore. Thanks for reading.
