Life is a vector quantity

Most of us live our life as if it is a scalar quantity. But the moment we realize our life is a vector quantity we tend to concentrate on direction of our life rather than magnitude of our life.

Scalar: Something which has just magnitude but no direction.
Vector: Something which has both magnitude and direction.

When we look at world and check at qualities with which we measure life of people, we come to know that they all have been converted into scalar by us. Marks, money, power, passion, age etc. . But in real they are all vector quantities and their directions should be towards goodness. Marks should direct students to improve their skills, money should direct earners to help those who are not in a state to earn, power should direct power holders to use it to get justice for those who seek it. Passion is important, but passion without purpose is not worth of anything. To direct our passion so that it can help others should be a purpose. Age is just a mere number for some, but clever people know age is a factor of experience. As age grows our curiosity should increase in the direction of learning something new. Every day we should learn something new.

Life is not just a journey from birth to death with certain speed (I mean number of days it takes to travel from birth to death, age). Life is a vector by every means. So after taking birth and gaining consciousness, travelling towards a particular direction makes our life more meaningful and journey more joyful. When we ask others, many say future belongs to us. So they think that they work for a better future. To make the future better they sacrifice their present. They think future is a direction which drives them forward. But we often tend to forget that our future doesn’t exist. Future is like a ‘garland’ which is yet to be created with ‘flowers’ which we have at present. But we don’t know whether we will be able to complete it or not. So future is just an imagination. So the real direction of our life is purpose. Purpose is what gives gives our passion a direction. Because purpose is a real thing as it comes from real elements like determination and contribution where as future is formed with thoughts and fiction. Purpose is the back bone of every invention and discovery. So purpose should be the direction of our passion. If our drive for passion can help others to come out of a dark times, then purpose is fulfilled. So direction in our life matters. Travel in a good direction.

So as it goes that on the final and eight day of this festival we greet ‘Micchami dukkadam’. If in any way my words or actions have hurt you knowingly or unknowingly, I seek your forgiveness. We request this to every individual and thus cleanse our soul from our actions which we may have performed knowingly or unknowingly. Micchami dukkadam. I know i have been late, it was on Sept 5th.

Relation between time and humans

With passing time, if you are not learning anything new, then you are not living, you are just ticking like a timer.

If you keep looking at her, she keeps sinking.
If you keep thinking about her, she keeps shrinking.
If you ignore her, she goes away quickly jumping.
When you don’t have her, she laughs at you winking.
Because she is time.

Creativity, the more you use it, the more you have it.
Food and fuel, the more you use it, the less you have it.
Interest, you use it or not, the interest on money always keep increasing.
She, whether you use it or not, she always keeps decreasing.
Because she is time.

You don’t know how much you have her,
Then why you smell faults instead of a flower!

You don’t know when she will be gone,
Still why you waste her by sticking to a phone!

You never know when she is right or wrong,
Then why don’t you listen to a melodious song!

You never know when she is fast or slow,
Then why still you are not learning to grow!

You will never get ahead of her,
Still why you keep running for her!

She is not the same for everyone,
Why you still compare yourself with what others have done!

She is not your road to walk on,
She is not your companion to walk with,
She is not your luggage to carry on your back,
She is not your mobile phone to live with,
She is not your money to exchange with,
She is not your talent to showcase,
She is not your face to make up,
She is not your loss that can be covered,
She is your profit that can be saved for future,
She is not at all yours, but she is involved in everything you do and even when you do nothing.

You are a small part of time. Make it the best part. And it is always the best time to do what you want to do, if you think so. In the entire book, there is always a quote which strikes first whenever we hear that book’s name, be that quote

The time remaining is not for covering the time which is already lost, it is for decorating moments which we create in the present. It can be done only by looking into your present actions.

Time is referred as ‘her’ just to give it a human effect.
Thanks to Maya Angelou, for her beautiful quote, which gave me the idea for this relativity.

Locks and their keys

What a beautiful thought it is that our problems are the locks which rest in our minds and their keys are thrown randomly by the creator in the hearts of people we connect. The solution of one’s mind rests in the hearts of others.

I think, we all feel the same in one way or other, that we all are locked in a particular set of problems for which we cannot think of a solution. We try to solve it by every way possible but problems just gets deeper. It is because we try to open the lock with the wrong key. It is because all the information cannot be stored in a single mind. It needs a group and connectivity among that group. Connectivity, what a great term it is. Connection is not that easy as it may sound. We doesn’t just believe and trust people easily for establishing a everlasting connection. Strangers unknown about each others’ journey to get connected and share their journeys, takes a lot of confidence and for sure, time. Connections are the keys sent by the God to unlock our problems. Problems’ sizes may vary from microscopic atoms to gigantic planets. But there is key to every problem and even keys come in all sizes.

We all should feel happy about these connections. Make these connections fruitful by showing keys to their problems and seeing keys in them for your problems. A connection is always a two sided one. Feel happy and blessed to be in such a great connection (internet) with many people of this virtual world too. Our problems are just make us stronger and to help us unite with others. After all we are all connected through the universal soul.

We meet many people in our journey’s intersection.
But with only few, we feel that magical connection.

Problems gets divided and happiness gets multiplied,
if the protocol of this soul-connection is properly applied.

Like a Bluetooth needs two working devices for sharing media,
This need two souls’ connection for sharing our life’s wikipedia.

Lot of people living with less connections and more problems.
Feeling stuck and locked within, but still they show no symptoms.

You may say that in market, the lock and the key comes in the same box.
But in life, never in the same mind, the solution to the problem knocks.

Problems in your mind, solution not in your thoughts.
Lock is under your pillow, but the key on others’ cots.

Feel the special bond of souls, you are a special human.
and you will reach your goals, like Truman show’s Truman.

There are words and there is rhyming.
There are destinies and there is timing.

So today I am back to my home town after a sudden 6 day trip to Pune. The trip was awesome and I made some nice connections with the people I met. I visited the Agam Tirth temple at Katraj which was so beautiful and divine. It was nice to spend good spiritual time there. Then I met my cousins at Shiroor and had great fun. Miss them, really!  I even my visited my friend who works at Infosys in Pune and shared a memorable time. I realized how busy he is in his life. But the return trip was somewhat boring but it made me watch movie in my tablet rather than making more connections.

After a good lazy afternoon sleep today, it was time to think and type something again after a break. As they say, our thoughts always keeps wandering, but still we feel locked. Because may be wandering in the right place is important than just wandering.

I don’t know but for some reason my comments on other blogs are not showing up. They are getting into spam folder. Hope it gets resolved soon. Thanks for the support. Stay blessed. 🙂

Have a great time everyone, my beautiful connections. Thanks for reading.

T is for Time: Day-20

Time is a very twisted and a turning phenomenon which never gets tired of travelling from one point to another. It takes everything with it and we never are on the same plane of time again. Time keeps creating new situations, new challenges and we have to face them and make the most of it. We have to learn from them and excel in our life. Time is the measurement quantity which we use for scheduling events and also for sequence of activities. It is not time on which we all run and live. It is on moments. Every person has his/her own sheet of time. Time always deceives us by following different patterns.

Sometimes time moves quickly than a clock and sometimes it moves slower than a turtle on a clock. But time goes nowhere. We are seeing at time depending upon our perspective. When we are busy time we feel as if time is moving quickly and we are getting bored, we feel as if time is moving slowly. It is an illusion. Our clock is not the real-time. The moments we make out of it is the only reality. With every time period there is a turning point associated with it. There is a timing. We have to sync to it to get the best of it.

Haiku on time:

Time is illusion
Only moments which we build
is reality.

This is my entry for A to Z challenge . It is already day 20 and it is on the letter ‘T’. ‘T’ is for Time. Time is an illusion but there is a timing of it.

Coming to the challenge, as the name itself says it is very challenging. On every day of month April, except Sundays, which makes it to 26 days, each participant should publish a post relating to the letter corresponding to the number of the day thus completing all the 26 alphabets. For example on day 1, the post should be on something related on letter A, on the second day it should be related to B and this goes on. Exciting? Isn’t it?

And as always, thanks for reading. Have a beautiful week ahead. And also the last week of the challenge. Take care. Make the most of moments.

I have reduced the online presence to a great extent. It is like an illusion and carrying away the time away from me. So just sitting back and building real moments and cherishing them. Two days back relatives came to  our home and they were talking about present generation children remaining attached to screens ( Tv, Mobiles, Tablets, Systems and Laptops). They said everyone is wasting time for hours and losing the real moments of life. I also realized it. May be that’s the reason I am not using more than half an hour on internet these days. I feel good. Have a good time.

P is for Present: Day-16

Present is the only gate of time which leads us to the path of happiness.

Some people say life is short, because they tend to live in future. Some people say life is full of pain, because they tend to live in past. Some people never say anything about life. They just define it by living it to the full. Because they live in present.

The juggling among past, present and future spoils the very purpose of our life. They are three children of time who wants their part from the property of time. They want justice from you. It is important to divide things in between these three GATES OF TIME. Let us give memories to the past and worries to the future. Once they have they get their part, past and future will never interfere with present. Give your moments to the present.

Because life is a ‘Present’ if you live in present. Keep an eye on past, brain on present and foot on future. Time is very rich and wide, so division will also be wide. Precise vision is required for division of the things among these three gates of time. If your past, present and future of your life are not in conflict with each other, you can breath the happiness of life. If these three gates of time are happy with your division, they can open the gates of happiness for you. I am sure you are not going to disappoint the children of time.

J is for Jumble: Day-10

“Life is like a jigsaw puzzle with thoughts being the jumbled pieces and its outcome depends only on the way you arrange the pieces of this puzzle one by one in order.”

Our life is a puzzle, with puzzle pieces being different time frames and situations. We have to be active and observe the pattern between them. We have to take actions according to that and have to wait for the fruitful outcome. We cannot change the pieces of our life, but we can change the situations by being optimistic during dark times and bringing different outcome out of it, a bright one. Life is nothing but a lifeless path if not lived with struggles. Struggles may be mental, situational, spiritual, personal or social. It takes one positive angle to jumble all the bad pieces into a good outcome of the puzzle.

When it comes to solve this puzzle, the jumbled pieces are also our thoughts. Yes, they are jumbled and not in order which makes our life order less. Just by governing our thoughts and directing them towards our purpose and goal, we can make our life more productive and effective. It requires sheer confidence to face the challenges and the dark times. It is all about resilience, the ability to bounce back when you hit the bottom. It is the comeback from a situation and arranging things back in the order.

And sometimes our missing pieces of puzzle are stored in the people we come across. We learn from them and take this piece from them and arrange in our life to gain back the order. That’s why unity is important. To become whole, to become complete. Life is the all about finding pieces and arranging back them in order to make it worth living.
