Every data in this information age is converted into bits and then transferred to the destination. It is again decoded into the actual information by different decoding techniques. Bits are nothing but zeroes and ones. How amazing it is that every data you get is converted into zeroes and ones, the presence of information and absence of information. The entire information theory is based on 0’s and 1’s. They are the basic building blocks of data transfer. These array of zeroes and ones if counted in terms of 8’s is called as a byte. You may be aware of this byte which we use in Kb, Mb, Gb. And also by using digital 8, we can reproduce any other digit.
So I was thinking on what word to write on at 10 pm, then I saw today’s Google’s Doodle. And I saw Zeroes and ones were juggled by a person in that doodle. Then I clicked on it. Shannon. In a moment, I remembered Shannon from ‘Shannon-Fano coding technique’ in my subject, Digital Communications. He is known as the ‘father of Information Technology’. He was also the first person to introduce the term ‘bit’. Bit is a digit which is used for data transmission. Because of him we are able to transmit data from one place to other place that too with minimal noise. On April 30th, 1916 was his birthday. He died in 2001. So 30th April, 2016 marks his 100th birthday, so Google’s doodle was a tribute to the master of information technology and digital communications. He was fond of juggling so the doodle is like this. Thank you. And see 1 0 0 , isn’t it like some data transmission. Haha.

This A to Z challenge has been amazing and challenging. It was not easy to post everyday with a letter restriction. And such challenge brings out the best in us. Thank you everyone who made this possible. And to all the participants, you all have a done great work. I specially thank Darshith who informed me about this and told me to register to this challenge asap. As I was on a trip and returned back home on 30th of March and then first thing I did was that I registered to this challenge. It have been a good one month of blogging. Time to take a small bit of rest. A small. .

This is my entry for A to Z challenge . It is the last day 26th and it is on the letter ‘Z’. ‘Z’ is for the Zeroes and Ones. Everything in data transfer and digital communication is done in bits of 0’s and 1’s.
Coming to the challenge, as the name itself says it is very challenging. On every day of month April, except Sundays, which makes it to 26 days, each participant should publish a post relating to the letter corresponding to the number of the day thus completing all the 26 alphabets. For example on day 1, the post should be on something related on letter A, on the second day it should be related to B and this goes on. It was an exciting journey.
